Jim & Maxine Jones

Jim Jones

Jim Jones was raised by his father who owned Jones Gas station and Garage. Jim spent every after school hour at the shop next to his father.

In 1942 World War ll started and Jim joined the Navy. During the war he served as an aviation mechanic; repairing planes. At the end of the War, it was only natural to come home and join his father in business. Together father and son bought and opened Jones Motor Service in Beverly Hills.

Jim became involved with the automotive industry and held several offices on a local chapter and state level including President for the precursor group of IGO to what is now ASCCA.

In 1971 he went on to serve the Association on the national level as 1st Vice President of the Automotive Service Institute, ASC Education Council to what is now the Automotive Service Councils Educational Foundation.

Jim always took great pride in being a true professional and providing personal service to his customers.

Maxine Jones

She started with IGO in the 1970s and ran the IGO office in Huntington Park when John Goodman was the Executive Director. She and Jim worked together through IGO and ASA.

In 1981 she and Jim were married and together they formed a team that supported and helped develop IGO, and now ASCCA, into the association we are today. Maxine worked for IGO/ASC/ASCCA for 43 before retiring.
