The Alan & Dee Cherko Scholarship was created to honor a husband and wife who contributed a great deal to the Automotive Service Industry and the founding of the ASC Educational Foundation. Alan Cherko was an automotive services shop owner and a multi-term President of the Automotive Service Councils of California (ASCCA) serving in both 1995 and again in 2000.
Dee Cherko was the Chapter 12, West Los Angeles, coordinator for over 20 years. Additionally, Dee served as president of the Assets, a women’s auxiliary of ASCCA, which was instrumental in founding the ASC Educational Foundation.
Alan and Dee dedicated themselves for the benefit and success of ASCCA. Their legacy of professionalism and dedication to the association will forever be a model for future leaders of the automotive services industry.
